Since a recent update of the Mac OS, they scan has become completely invisible. I have a Scanjet 4370 which I use to scan my old photos/negatives. Still using the old HP Pavilion a1637c PC, Windows XP MCE 2002, SP3, Deskjet 930c printer and a scanner Scanjet 4370. Now all I have to do, is to try to prevent the HP Solution Center Update updates and things may work. I could be using the Solution Center version 50.0.152.000 and Image Zone 5.0, but at least my scanner works from the center of the Solution, as previously. This time instead of using the HP suggested COL11004 download or download from setup_full_G3010_4370, I installed the original my installation CD scanner software. Then, I went into Program Files and renamed the old HP HP folder. Again, I have uninstalled all HP Scanner, used Windows Installer Clean up, and Add/Remove to remove everything I could find. The scanner works, but something in this software does not work. I have to use the buttons on the scanner. Now I can't use the Solutions centre, to scan an image. They had me download and install version 9 of the scanner software. The scanner worked until I had a problem and contacted the HP Support for assistance. I know this might be an old scanner, but it used to work for my needs.
